2021 Season A Success for Spencer Hughes & PCC Motorsports

(January 1, 2022) With the flip of the calendar to 2022, the PCC Motorsports team is proud of what they accomplished with young driver Spencer Hughes during the 2021 racing season! Spencer accepted the Craig & Shannon Sims-owned ride in early June and competed in his first race for PCC Motorsports in the 'Dirt Late Model Dream' at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. From there, Spencer racked up one podium finish, four top five efforts, and thirteen top ten performances in the twenty-seven Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series races that the team entered throughout the remainder of the year. The Meridian, Mississippi standout parked his #11 Longhorn Chassis in victory lane at the famed Eldora Speedway in September's annual 'Baltes Classic,' which netted the team an impressive win and a $5,000 payday. Many thanks to everyone who has supported Spencer on this journey. Thanks to the crew - Aubrey "Wormy" Vaughn and Caleb Todd - for all the hard work, long hours, and miles up and down the road. Huge thanks to Craig and Shannon Sims for taking a chance on three kids from Mississippi and giving them the opportunity to compete with the best in the business. Spencer and the crew are hard at work now getting the cars ready for Georgia/Florida Speedweeks to kick off their quest for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the Year title!
